District Couple of the Year  Selection

As a Couple of the Year for your Chapter, you may wish to enter.  Can you smile, tell about your Chapter & GWRRA involvement? Be creative,  show your personality (be yourself) and again SMILE!  See you are ready, put on neat practical attire, remember your vest, patches & pins…..take a deep breath...SMILE !!!

Riding, Parade & Show Categories

   Riding- does not include any music or routines.  The contestants' outfits would be suitable for motorcycle riding, which would usually include a helmet, boots, gloves, long sleeve shirt, and long pants.  Scoring would be 50% for practicality and 40% for uniformity and appearance, then 10% for poise.
   Parade- would not include any music or routines.  Outfits would be suitable for representing their chapter in a parade or other event.  Scoring would be 30% for practicality, 60% for uniformity and appearance, then 10% for poise.
    Show- could include music, marching or dance routines.  Outfits would be suitable for representing their chapter in a parade or other event.  Scoring would be 50% for showmanship, 15% for practicality, and 25% for uniformity and appearance, then 10% for poise.

GENERAL RULES/Definitions for all 3 categories above (all 6 classes)

• Each entry must be a current Individual Member, Associate or Family Member of GWRRA
  
• Each participant must be wearing either version of the 10" GWRRA back patch, and a GWRRA membership pin.
  
• Participants will be expected to perform "1/4 turns", allowing judges to see their outfits
  
• Each of the 3 categories has 2 sub-categories (classes) ...Couple ( one male & one female) Chapter (consists of at least four participants)
  
• Best -dressed Chapter of any of the 3 categories, members must wear their chapter's designation.
  
• Rider Education Program or Mileage awards will not carry point value.
  
• For the Parade and Show categories, outfits would be suitable for riding motorcycles if helmet, gloves and jacket were added.
  

Florida Chapter Pride  rules

   1. Only FLORIDA CHAPTERS  are ELIGIBLE.
   2. EACH PARTICIPANT MUST;
        A. Be a current GWRRA Member (Full, Assoc. or Family Member)
        B.  Show Membership Card
        C. Be registered for Florida District Rally (full registration only)
   3. Each participant MUST show their Chapter Pride by wearing their Chapter shirts with 10"
       patch. (if a chapter has more than one OFFICIAL shirt design or style then all or any combination will  be acceptable).
   4. Vests are optional over Chapter Shirts. (if worn, vest must have 10" patch.) Only one 10" patch per person is required
       ( Must be visible to Judges) No judging on boots, belts, hats, ties, pants or different shades of cloth.
   5. Each chapter entered may have between 6 and 30 participants.

JUDGING WILL BE BASED ON:

1. Required registration and membership items
2. Required attire
3. Enthusiasm
4. Originality...extra points may be earned by using a chant, skit, ditty, song, etc. to convey chapter spirit!!

Chapter Challenge

     This is a fun competition for all the chapters...just show up and participate

1. 3 members from one chapter to compete ( small chapters get out and compete)
2. Each Chapter can only have one team
4. Approximately 3 challenges will take place
5. Each challenge will be scored by …. Time taken to complete task in each challenge. 
    (we feel this will give even the 3rd place team a chance to win) after totaling all scores a winner will be determined.
