Joey was born in Greenwood, MS.  He attended Pillow Academy, graduated from GreenwoodHigh School then attended college at MDCC in Moorhead, MS.  He is a graduate of the State Fire Academy and the MS Law Enforcement Officer’s Training Academy and has held positions such as Fire Chief, Asst. Fire Chief and Deputy Sheriff in Leflore and Sunflower Counties as well as E-911 Director for Sunflower County.  He is currently the Risk Manager for Scott Petroleum and is also a part-time police officer with Greenville Police Department.

Joey became a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach in 1996 and has a long training history with GWRRA as well.  Since joining GWRRA in 1996, he has held the positions of Chapater Director, Assistant Chapter Director, Event Coordinator, Chapter Educator, Mississippi District Educator, Assistant Region A Educator and Chapter Couple of the Year.  He is also a Certified Seminar Presenter and Parking Lot Practice Facilitator.

Beverly was born in Greenville MS, but grew up in Rolling Fork where she attended and graduated from Sharkey-Issaquena Academy.  She also went on to attend college at MDCC.  After college, she was employed by the Greenville Police Department.  She moved through the ranks rapidly and achieved many history making accomplishments within the department.  She was the department’s Training Officer and Range Master for four and a half years of her tenure and also instructed at the MDCC Law Enforcement Officer’s Training Academy at Moorhead during that time and beyond.  She has trained hundreds of police officers in the use of Firearms, PPCT-Defensive Tactics and Defensive Driving.

In 2004 she joined GWRRA.  Later on that same year, she married Joey and began assisting him with his business, Mississippi Motorcycle Training Academy.  Beverly has been riding since she was very young.  She started out on a mini bike and moved on up through the years.  In 2008 she decided to retire from her position as Chief of Detectives at Greenville Police Department to take a position in motorcycle sales at Greenville Motor Sports.  Since that time, she has been Chapter MEC, CD and Chapter COY.  She too is a Certified Seminar Presenter and a PLP Facilitator.  Today, she only owns three bikes, one of which is a Gold Wing.  She and Joey have a matching set of wings and truly enjoy being a part of GWRRA.
